The AASKI Partnership and Future Vision for CoSo Cloud

I am very excited to welcome CoSo Cloud into the AASKI family. We chose this direction due to CoSo’s reputation as a proven, trusted provider of Managed and Cloud Services, which is exactly what we’ve been looking for to complement our fast-growing professional services business.  CoSo brings the subject-matter-expertise in private cloud managed services and security, demanded by government agencies and enterprise customers alike.

The question many of you are likely asking is what does this mean for me as a customer and for the future of CoSo.  Let me begin by saying that our customers will continue to experience the same level of exceptional service they have come to expect from the CoSo team.  We have successfully transitioned the entire CoSo team to the new entity and have begun to add staff to expand our offering in the marketplace. I see a tremendous future for CoSo as we invest in the business.  We hope the transition was completely seamless for you and resulted in no impacts to the services you leverage from CoSo.

I was already impressed with the leadership team at CoSo that I’ve come to know over the past few months, but my confidence increased having just spent several weeks in San Francisco, and then in D.C. with the extended CoSo team.  I’m incredibly impressed with their professionalism, domain knowledge and dedication to delight customers.

We’ve already seen the early results of integrating the best of AASKI with the best of CoSo, by General Manager Glen Vondrick reaching out to tap a top AASKI talent to come in and expand CoSo’s sales and customer team.  Steve Verderese joins the leadership team as Chief Sales Executive and we’ve already added talented local sales and technical support personnel on the East Coast, in New Jersey and Washington D.C. where CoSo has many clients.  Steve brings to CoSo over 20 years in sales leadership for managed services as part of a 30-year career in technology development, integration and business development.

CoSo has done a tremendous job investing in its private managed Cloud Platform to meet the stringent needs of its customers with compliance in FedRAMP, HITRUST, HIPAA and SOC 2.  As an ISO 9001:2008 certified company managing highly complex, mission critical projects on behalf of dozens of government agencies we recognize just how important these platforms are and will continue to invest to meet those critical business and operational needs.  We plan to migrate CoSo’s software to leverage AASKI’s CMMI Level 3 development processes, providing additional rigor to the development, testing, and deployment of enhanced features that will benefit CoSo’s customers.  We started that process of providing enhanced features with the addition of CoSo Insights in January, which gives customers unprecedented access to real-time data on the performance of their classrooms & meetings.  We plan to build out additional capabilities to give administrators more tools to manage & communicate their rooms from a single console. 

In the near term, our goal is to ensure no interruption to service for our customers, adding value to the critical partnerships we have within the Adobe Connect eco-system, migrating the CoSo software to our CMMI processes, adding engineering capabilities to enhance features, all while seamlessly integrating the CoSo family in to the AASKI culture.  Over the past 20 years, AASKI has built a strong capability as a Federal Prime Contractor with numerous accolades for the growth achieved as a woman owned small business in a highly competitive marketplace.  We want to leverage that prime position to create offerings to our customers using the CoSo Cloud platform, with the number one goal being to enhance services provided to the Warfighter.  Our men and women in combat deserve the very best Learning Management Systems, eLearning, Virtual Training, Web Conferencing and Collaboration Services.
